Man with goal of 100 things in 100 weeks makes stop in Utah

Utah Olympic ParkThe following is an excerpt from an article posted on August 15, 2009 at KSL.com:

A man from Australia put everything he had up for sale on eBay to start over. He also decided he’d come up with a list of 100 things he’d like to do and gave himself 100 weeks. In Park City Saturday, Ian Usher crossed No. 54 off of that list.

Usher has done more in a lifetime than most of us could do in two or three, but that’s the point.

Goal 54 was flying down the comet at Utah’s Olympic Park. He’s also ridden the Wall of Death in England, which is riding a motorcycle in a vertical tunnel; and he dove deep in the waters off of Italy to see the statue “Christ the Deep.”

After his bobsled run in Park City, he’s off to England to jump off of a very high pier, wearing, in his words, “a very fancy dress costume.” After that he aims to climb seven of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks in seven days.
